City of Hamilton – Public Works Infographics
- Created an Infographic and Poster to show how a storm pond works.
- Created a Tick Talk Infographic and Poster to explain the types of ticks, where to find them, how to remove them if bitten, and how to prevent tick bites. I also came up with the heading “Tick Talk”.
Many of the new housing developments in the Hamilton area have storm ponds as part of their drainage plan. Although they are attractive to look at and bring an element of nature to the community, they also serve an important purpose. While at Pier 8 Group, I created the infographics and a poster for the City of Hamilton to demonstrate how a storm pond works.
Tick bites and Lyme disease are a threat when walking outdoors. Early symptoms of Lyme disease include fever, headache, muscle and joint pain, fatigue, and an expanding red “bullseye” rash. If left untreated, an infected person may experience heart palpitations, arthritic symptoms, fatigue, and nervous system disorders. While at Pier 8 Group, I created the infographics and a poster to highlight where to find ticks and how to prevent tick bites.
