Shawn Till and Ed Madronich had always talked about opening a craft brewery one day. That dream began to come to life three years ago at Shawn’s cottage. Sitting by the lake, beers in hand, the two friends looked at one another and asked, “Is it time?” Fast forward to 2015 and the opening of the Shawn & Ed Brewing Company. Located in the former Dundas Curling and Skating Rink, the company is now brewing up its signature “LagerShed” and “BarrelShed” brands.
To promote the Shawn & Ed Brewing Company, while at Pier 8 Group, I created a full-featured, mobile-friendly website that’s loaded with interactive features, including video streaming, a photo gallery, event calendar and a blog. It even has a “Brick Me” page where you can zoom in on a brick wall to see your name engraved on a brick. That is, of course, only if you have purchased a brick from the wall that had to be rebuilt after being hit by a dump truck.
